- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the problems of communication in nutrition so that they acquire basic skills of correct dissemination of nutrition information for individuals or population groups. Emphasis is placed on the specifics of communication and education of individual groups - children, adults, seniors, foreigners and special groups of patients. Part of the course is the theoretical basis of publishing not only for professionals, but also for the general public and training in the transmission of nutrition information in various media.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course the student: - propose appropriate education according to the target group - create their own educational material - choose appropriate forms of communication in the nutritional counseling - prepare an adequate presentation on nutritional issues - the chosen topic will be suitably presented to the lay and professional public
- Syllabus
- 1.Basics of communication and education in nutrition, prerequisites of successful communication and education. 2. Nutrition education in school environment (curriculum documents, educational materials, legislation). 3.Methods and possibilities of education towards proper nutrition in pre-school education, in primary school environment, in grammar and secondary vocational education and in special education. 4.Education in the university environment. Presentation of nutritional theme for students, practical application and reflection. 5. Undergraduate and postgraduate education of teachers, cooperation with the school. 6.Projects for health promotion and preparation of methodology for proper nutrition for school environment. 7.Communication in counseling center I. (specifics of communication with children, adolescents, adults, pregnant and nursing, seniors). 8.Communication in the Counseling Center II. (the issue of communicating information when specifically reducing nutritional habits due to medical nutrition). 9. Communication in media (television, radio, internet, social networks). 10.Presentation of nutritional problems for lay and professional public.
