- Course objectives
- The course has a practical character, it follows the lectures. The aim is to practice acquired knowledge and their practical application in the diagnosis, treatment and care of a patient with an internal illness.
- Learning outcomes
- Students in the exercise:
get an overview of the competences and procedures paramedic in treating patients with internal diseases;
strengthen the practical skills of standard diagnostic and treatment processes in prehospital care; - Syllabus
- Basic and specific nursing care in selected groups of diseases, methods of investigation, standard and acute care;
- practical analysis and solutions of selected case studies with regard to the work of the medical first responders;
- peculiarities of nursing care in specialized centers, in Internal Medicine with selected diseases, with particular emphasis on intensive and emergency care.

- Analysis of case studies, practical training procedures.
- Assessment methods
- Attendance at exercises is mandatory (80%). Absences from exercises must be excused through the study department, and excessive absences cannot be made up; long-term absences must be addressed individually with the course guarantor. Part of the evaluation includes solving a case study assigned by the instructor.
