- Cíle předmětu
- Students will
- be introduced to the basic concepts of English language didactics;
- learn about roles of the teacher of foreign languages and his/her competences;
- learn about the language system and some basic principles of teaching grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation;
- get to know teaching materials which respect to the specifics of different age groups;
- be introduced to the concept of self-reflection and use a Student-teacher Portfolio as a self-reflective tool;
- learn some basic principles of error correction
- learn how to plan and structure a lesson
- learn how to plan a language practice task, teach it to their peers (micro-teaching) and reflect on the process - Výstupy z učení
- Student will be able to:
- explain the basic principles of English language teaching;
- talk about the role of a foreign language teacher;
- discuss the specifics of foreign language teaching of different age groups;
- use the target language considering age and individual differences of learners;
- describe the concept of self-reflection;
- write a short reflective report about their current teaching experience;
- set goals for their professional development;
- find appropriate main and supplementary teaching material;
- create a list of sources of suitable teaching material;
- give feedback and act on feedback given by their teacher and peers. - Osnova

- Náhradní absolvování
- Students on Erasmus will:
- follow the course in Moodlinka on weekly basis
- use the PowerPoint presentations from weekly sessions and do the tasks as instructed on the slides (all the relevant materials can be found in Moodlinka)
- work regularly on the Student-teacher Portfolio (Journal and Dossier)
- write a sample lesson plan and reflective paper (parts of the portfolio) - present the complete Student-teacher Portfolio at the end of the semester to the teacher (face-to-face or online) - email the teacher to inform her about your Erasmus stay and in case more information is needed
