Course objectives
Students understand the basic theoretical concepts of this discipline, respectively related disciplines. They are able to explain the specifics of individual types of art and the relationships between them. They are competent to consider the issues of originality and relatedness artworks. They are able to clearly present the differences between thematically and thematically related works of art and are able to assess. They propose specific uses (not only) literary works of art in education.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to: - explain the basic principles of substance transfer between various forms of art. - recognize the specific means of expression of theater, film, visual arts and music. - explain the basic terminology that is necessary to describe the relationships between artworks. - reflect his/her own experience. - analyze and interpret the work of art in relation to the so-called original work. - use works of art in the teaching of Czech language and literature.
Syllabus
  • 1. Theory - basic concepts (agent, theme, topic, "form", "content", structure, context). 2. Theory - basic concepts (reception, comparative approaches, allusion, reminiscence, borrowing etc.). Artwork third as a character. 4. Selected concepts of comparative literature. 5. Literature and art. 6. Literature and music. 7.-8 The phenomenon of adaptation - an outline of the basic principles of adaptation and dramatizations of literary works in the audiovisual media. 9. Literature and theater. 10.-11. Literature and film. 12. Possibilities of implementation of the utilization of other literary works in the classroom.
