Course objectives
The aim of the course is to consolidate and deepen knowledge in the field of protection and promotion of human health.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the participant will: - formulates the main issues in the field of human health, its protection and promotion; - identifies and characterizes preventable factors affecting health; - actively applies the information in his/her life and justifies its importance; - actively seeks out new information and critically evaluates it; - identifies and characterises risk factors affecting health; - Understands the importance of family and school as important elements in influencing the health of the individual and the population; - lists the main prevention programmes in the world and in the Czech Republic, describes their content and importance.
Syllabus
  • 1. Prevention. The importance of primary and secondary prevention for population health. 2.-3. Health 2030, action plans of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, screening programmes. 4. -5. Main prevention programmes in the world and in the Czech Republic. 6. Health Yearbook of the Czech Republic. 7. Analysis of prevention of the main health risks. 8.-10. HOBIT,7x about allergies, Child with epilepsy at school, Dental hygiene, etc.
