- Course objectives
- To develop the knowledge of the language system (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, skills, functions) on B1 level according to the CEFR;
To promote the development of oral performance and communicative skills of the students on B1 level according to the CEFR;
To develop the written perfomance and reading comprehension on B1 level according to the CEFR;
To develop listening comprehension on B1 level according to the CEFR; - Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course the students will:
- develop the knowledge of the language system (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, skills, functions) on B1 level according to the CEFR;
- develop oral performance and communicative skills B1 level according to the CEFR;
- develop the written perfomance and reading comprehension on B1 level according to the CEFR;
- develop listening comprehension on B1 level according to the CEFR; - Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes INTERMEDIATE (Student's book), Units 9 and 12:
- Grammar: Present perfect simple and continuous, comparing now and the past; Quantifiers, the future in the past; Past ability/obligation, passives; Used to, would, past simple, expressing regret using wish;

- Assessment methods
- Requirements: Maximum number of points per semester: 100 Pass mark: 70 (part of this sum is also the final written test, students must obtain at least 70% for this final test - if not: two resits of the final test are offered)
Written test: 40 points
Oral test: 30 points (students gather points that are added to the total sum of points, oral tests do not have resits)
Progress test: 10 points
Continuous assessment: 20 points - Language of instruction
