- Course objectives
- The students improve their instrumental skills. They can play small pieces for piano, they can use accompaniment to songs, create prelude, interlude, postlude to songs.
- Learning outcomes
- Student:
- controls various types of stylization and can use them functionally when accompanying songs;
- is able to transpose songs into a different tone;
- can create and play prelude, interlude and finale for the songs;
- combines the play of songs with singing - is able to play a small composition for children. - Syllabus
- Playing instrument – the piano: a)Playing the cadences T - S- D- D7 - T (up-scale, chromatic modulations in all keys, accompaniment - Tonic key–the fifth - in the left hand) b)using of the side harmonic functions c) playing the minor scales and chors (c,d,e,f,g,a moll) The basics of improvisation: Accompaniments to 15 songs of the 2nd grade and 10 songs of the 3rd grade A/ melody played in thirds and sixths B/ mixed and the general harmony C/ creating the prelude, interlude, postlude in songs D/ stylized accompaniment (waltz, syncopated etc.) E/ modulations, transpositions to key C, D, Es, E, F, G, A (major) and c, d, e f, g (minor) Playing of 1 composition of his/her own choice and the technical skill of given student.
