- Course objectives
- In order to be enrolled for this course, the student’s language competence must correspond with level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This course prepares students to be able to actively communicate in German . Students work with written and recorded texts on B2 level with respect to specific features of the scholarly language in terms of lexical and stylistic devices as well as grammar. The course also involves giving presentations and writing abstracts, comments and formal letters.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course, the student will be able to: - understand spoken LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR; - understand written LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR; - give a presentation; - give feedback to fellow students; - show a good command of selected grammar structures at B2 level of the CEFR.
