- JVp035 German for Educators - A
The B-course is a follow-up course of the A-course organised within level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. A pass in A-course represents an essential precondition for enrolment for this course. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The course focuses on German as a language of studies as well as further development of language skills within the given level (B1). Practice involves: 1) comprehending authentic texts in written and recorded form 2) presentations and discussions, dialogues, presenting arguments and expressing personal opinions 3) writing of less complex formal texts, brief letters and essays.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course, the student will be able to: - understand spoken LSP texts at B1 level of the CEFR; - understand written LSP texts at B1 level of the CEFR; - give a presentation; - show a good command of selected grammar structures at B1 level of the CEFR.

- Teaching methods
- seminars group work, role play, feedback, writing tasks
- Assessment methods
- Credit requirements: 1) Attendance (only 1 lesson can be missed), active participation 2) Homework set in classes 3) Oral presentation 4) Exam – written + oral part. Only students who complete all assignments can take the exam. Both parts of the exam need to be passed (written part – 45/70 points, oral part – 20/30 points). Pass mark: 65% (65 points out of 100). Written part: listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing. Oral part: monologue (1 minute) + dialogue (6 minutes)
