- Course objectives
- Practice and fixation of printing and writing form of Russian alphabet, pronunciation, and intonation. Improvement of reading and listening skills, and basic oral and written expression. Introduction to new lexical stock and basics of Russian grammar. Work with audio and video tapes. A successful learner from this course will be able to: listen and understand Russian texts, write texts, read texts and talk on these topics - see Course Contents.
- Syllabus
- Lesson 8 to 14 Russian for self-learning (1 to 7 lesson, students discuss individually before the start of training, if interested, may do so in pre-course, which takes 14 to 17 ninth 2010). Topics: 1st Meet. 2nd How are you? 3rd Calling. 4th Routine. Today I have no time, today is my day off. 5th Do you speak Russian? Getting around town. 6th We have three children. 7th At the cottage. Grammar links: 1st Verb to be in Russian phrase. Verbs 1st timing. 2nd Future tense of imperfective verbs. Verbs 1st timing with an accent the tip. Expression of the links I have. 3rd Numbers 1 to 20, 30, 40 in the first fall. Declension nouns. names feminine in simp. number. Verb second timing. 4th 3, 6 and 7 fall of many. number of nouns. - Regular active participation in the class: two absences per semester are allowed, continuous assessment and doing the required home assignments based on the learnt theory and terminology.
