Cíle předmětu
The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge about inclusive education and provision for students with special educational needs in maistream schools. The course topics consisted of the description of the historical development of special education and disability studies, introduction to inclusive education (terminology), desription of conditions of inclusive education and provisions for students with special educational needs depending on their difficulties. The emphasis will be given to comparison of inclusive educational conditions in foreign countries compare to the Czech Republic.
Výstupy z učení
After the course, student will be able to: define general terms in connection with inclusive education; describe the elements of contemporary provision for students with special educational needs; define factors influencing effectivity of inclusive education.
Osnova
  • Introduction to terminology of inclusive education - disability and related topics; social ex/inclusion, inclusive education. International perspective on inclusive education. Factors influencing inclusive education – internal and external factors supporting development of inclusive school environment. Development of supportive relationship among teachers and cooperation in multidisciplinary team (shared problem solving, co-teaching method, counselling). Establishment of effective communication with parents. Classroom conditions (INCLUDE Strategy and its implementation). Supportive measures for students with special educational needs.

Výukové metody
The course si provided via IS course interactive syllaby. Student will be asked to submit gradually five written essays during the semestr which will be the fundamental for the evaluation.
Metody hodnocení
Submitting of five written essays to due dates defined at the semestr beginning - 100 %. The lecturer will provide written feedback for each student's paper. This feedback will be accessible in notepads assigned to specific homework vaults in our Information System (IS). The feedback will use descriptive words to evaluate the quality of the submitted work, such as: Excellent, Very good, Good, Below average, Acceptable, or Not acceptable. If a paper is not accepted, the student will be asked to edit it and submit it again.
