Prerequisites
The prerequisite for successful completion of this course is acquired basic skills in playing the piano at the level of the subject XHV02 Basics of Piano Playing and Voice Education.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to strengthen the students' current playing skills when accompanying songs suitable for musical activities in kindergarten and also to expand their song repertoire with regard to different topics, moods or seasons, including the use of songs for musical-movement activities, didactic games, etc. The content of the course follows the acquired basic skills in playing the piano within the course XHV02 Basics of Piano Playing and Voice Education.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- create an piano accompaniment of songs suitable for preschool education;
- create intros and codas for songs;
- combine piano playing with singing;
- play a small piano piece.
Syllabus
  • Playing a stylized accompaniment of 25 songs with an intro, coda, and singing: - 21 songs from chapter 1.2 of Dagmar Ryšánková's textbook (songs of various nature will be selected by the teacher) - 4 children songs from study materials at IS MU, including 2 by Ladislav Němec
  • Playing a piano recital composition (according to an agreement with the teacher)
