- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the sub-disciplines of human geography. They are the geography of population, the geography of settlements, the geography of agriculture and the geography of industry. It is not just about defining their research subjects and defining basic terms, but also about a deeper insight into the issue. This will be emphasized on individual regions, so that students can perceive the world and think geographically, using these subdisciplines and follow the individual processes defined in them. Emphasis will be placed on this, especially in the field part, which will deal with the industry and settlement processes that shaped and are shaping Brno.

- Teaching takes place through lectures and seminars, and it also includes field work and the processing of assigned tasks.
- Assessment methods
- The evaluation takes place in the form of a colloquium. This will take place in the form of a presentation of the assigned task, during which there will be a group discussion on the topic of the presentation. The evaluation has two parts - the first is the evaluation of the task text itself and the second is the evaluation of the presentation. The evaluation criteria are the choice of topic, the geographical methods used, formal requirements or work with literature.
