- Course objectives (in Czech)
- This course will primarily be based upon discussion. Through practice, students will become more comfortable and more proficient using more complicated structures. They will also develop a more sophisticated sense of the subtleties of English, (collocations, connotations, register, etc).

- We will finish Inside Out Advanced. There will also be a writing assignment as well as an oral presentation in the form of a debate. Specific information concerning these two areas can be found on the course web page on IS. There will also be an e-learning aspect of the course which students will be required to do. This information is also listed on IS.

- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Essay: 10% Exam 1: 20% Debate: 30% Exam 2: 30% Participation: 10% 65% is required to pass. I expect everyone to participate positively in class, both in small group discussions and those with the entire class. I will take off points if students never speak, or wait only to be called upon. In connection with this, I also expect students to attend class. If attendence should become a problem, that will also affect participation points.
