Course objectives
An introduction to the theory of literature.
Syllabus
  • The basic concepts and bibliography concerning the subject. The specific nature of literature for youth. Literary categories, kinds and genres. The structure of the literary work. Interpretative approaches to literary works. The process of literary communication, characters, author, narrator, addressee, recipient and their mutual relationships. Changes of genres, new thematic areas, individual authors and works.
