Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: repetition of chordate problematics:(1) understand and explain the basic picture about chordate body organization in lower taxons; (2) work with information on chordate systematic principles; (3) interpret chordates classification schemes; (4) gain an appreciation of the diversity of the world’s chordates; use (5) the bionomie of modell taxons and species and (6) interpret the occurence of chordates in ecosystems of world.
Syllabus
  • Along systematic of chordates: 1. Chordates versus vertebrates.
  • 2. Urochordata, Cephalochordata.
  • 3. Vertebrata.
  • Basic body organization of taxons, species. Bionomie. 4. Characteristics of taxons:
  • A) Lower vertebrates. B) Cyclostomata. C) Chondrichthyes. D) Actinopterygii and Sarcopterygii (Choanichthyes) E. Amphibia. F) Reptilia. G) Aves. H) Mammalia.
  • 5. Vertebrates in ecosystems.
