- Course objectives
- This course will primarily be based on topics connected with different cultural issues (insipred by Units 3-6 in Inside Out Advanced). Through practice, students will become more comfortable and more proficient using new complex structures. They will also develop a more sophisticated sense of the subtleties of English, (collocations, connotations, register, etc). In class, students will be working on their writing skills by writing grammar dictations as a group activity. They will further develop their reading skills (extra material provided) and work on their vocabulary.
- Syllabus
- Cover U 3-6 Inside Out Advanced (including both Student's book and Workbook), extra work required (see below).
- Topics covered are Newspapers, City, Travelling, Technology, Films and Media, and include grammar, vocabulary, collocations and word linking.

- Teaching methods
- The classes will involve class discussions, pair-work and group-work. There will be an on-line course in which students will be expected to participate to improve their writing skills. They will also be asked to complete homework.
- Assessment methods
- Classes will involve group- and pair-work and all students will be expected to participate. Extra work will be posted in the Moodlinka. To obtain credits for the course, students have to pass the progress test (Use of English, Reading and Listening comprehension tasks, passmark 70%), submit a written assignment, particpate in classes and in online forums.
