- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the latest knowledge in the field of educational psychology.
- Syllabus
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the latest knowledge in the field of educational psychology. Topics to cover: The subject and development of educational psychology. Psychology of learning. Significance of feedback in teaching/learning. Transfer and interference. Psychology of intellligence. Psychology of creativity. Programmes stimulating creativity. Cognitive styles and learning styles. Success and failure in school. Causes of poor results. Specific learning disorders. ADHD/ADD syndrom. The importance and goals of psychohygiene and psychology of health in educational psychology. Psychohygiene of an examination. Psychological questions of education. Educational styles. Education and self-education. Use of principles of psychotherapy in education. Deprivation and subdeprivation. Aggression. Child abuse syndrom. Deficility and behavioural disorders. Addiction. Personality and its characteristics. Personality principle in education. Individual and typological differences among pupils. School class as a psychosocial group. Class management. Role of a pupil. Rapport and pupil - teacher interaction. Psychology of teachers personality. Requirements regarding teachers personality. Psychology of pedagogogical tact. Teachers self-reflection.
