- Course objectives
- The aim the subject is the presentation of basic scientific knowledge of geology, soil science and geomorphology to students. The essential information about the Earths crust, processes of its formation, structure and the introductory rock classification will be provided in geological part of lectures. Main endogenous and exogenous terrain forming processes and land form classes will be treated in the geomorphologic section of the subject. Basic information about main soil roles in the environment, their basic components and features, diagnostics, classification and territorial distribution in Czech Repubic. Finally the transfer options for the geological, pedological and geomorfological knowledge to the secondary school pupils will be demonstrated.
