- Course objectives
- The contain of this course deals with the base concepts of the ontogenetical psychology. At the end of this course student should be able to:
- define and explaine the base conception in changes in child psyche with focus on preschool period.
- understand the developmental theories
- analyze the main changes in human progress in the individual period - Syllabus
- 1.Developmental psychology and its application in practise of teachers.
- 2. The factors of mental development and their governing principles. The interaction of the social environment, educatuion and genetics.
- 3. A brief description of changes in prenatal peroid and early stages of life.
- 4. Period of suckling age, toddler and its developmental changes.
- 5. Toddler, chnges in motor skills, cognitive functions, speech, emotions, develop in personality. Socialisation, communication, behavioral norm, family influence, social learning.
- 6. Factors of developmental changes' acceleration in cognitive processes, expression and behaviour of pre-school age children, personality growth, fostering social skills.
- 7. School maturity, the chidren ability for school education.
- 8. The qualitative growth in the cognitive processes and emotional functions during childhood and pre-puberty, social factors, parental styles.
- 9. Difficulties in adaptability, maladptations, various disorders, and symptoms of neuroses in childhood and pre-puberty.
- 10. Specific signs in an individual stages in the process of growing up. A description of changes in cognitive growing, emotional changes and personal development in the puberty.
- 11. The devepopmental process of emotional functions, personal changes and cognitive processes in adolescence, education, creation, professional orientation.
