- Course objectives
- The aim of the developmental psychology is directed to the understanding of the main principals and regularity in the process of mental development focusing on cognitive, motor, emotional, moral and personal progress. The course focuses on the dynamic changes in each of the individual developmental stages, the influence and impact of partial factors and the difficulties in adaptability,upbringing and education. At the end of this course, the students should be able to:; understand and tell to an individual developmental stages of the child; interpret the knowledge about the changes in development of the individual psychic functions; use the information about the changes in mental development in a special approach to children education;

- 1. The concept and the factors of mental development and their principles
- 2. Factors of developmental changes, short description of developmental stages
- 3. Characterization of mental changes in yearly childhood.
- 4. Changes in psychic development in pre-school period children, school maturity
- 5. Mental processes and changes in childhood and pre-puberty.
- 6. Difficulties in adaptability, various disorders and symptoms of neuroses in childhood and pre-puberty.
- 7. A general description of the individual stage, the process of growing up. The quality of the mental changes in adolescents period
- 8. The likely mental disorders and illnesses in adolescents
- 9. Developmental changes in adulthood, the characterization
