Cíle předmětu
The student will extend their CEFR B2 language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and will be able to speak on current topics related to their academic field of study and professinal career (Problem addiction. Work with addicts. Prevention; Social issues of today. Homelessness. Un/Employment. Applying for a job. Future career;)
Students will also deepen their academic skills in: Writing a CV, cover letter, Master's thesis abstract developing thus their presentation skills in the 'Presentation for a Social Worker's Job Abroad' project.

Metody hodnocení
1) Attendance and active participation in the classes (only 2 classes can be missed) 2) All in-term assignments submitted in due time A) Project (Job advert, poster presentation, job interview) B) Master's thesis abstract Final examination requirements: A) Written part (listening, reading, use of English, writing; (total = 70 marks; pass mark = 45). Test on PC. B) Oral part:
a Monologue (1-minute talk about the student's field of study and master's thesis) b)Dialogue (6-minute discussion of two students on a particular social topic) Total: 30 marks; Pass mark = 20

Informace učitele
1. In order to be allowed to sit the final examination, the student must complete all in-term home assignments and meet all deadlines.
Pro ukončení předmětu jsou předepsány v semestru průběžné kontroly (písemné úkoly, projekt, ústní prezentace, atd.), jejichž výsledky jsou započítávány do závěrečného hodnocení.
2. Only those students who successfully pass the written part can sit the oral part of the examination.
Ústní část zkoušky mohou absolvovat studenti až po úspěšném složení písemného testu na PC.
3. Student's examination may be videorecorded and used for further educational purposes.
Ústní část zkoušky studentů může být natáčena a videonahrávka použita pro další vzdělávací účely.
