Course objectives
The aim of course is to prepare teachers for communicating with children through puppet. Further through using objects in short etudes we focuse on the development of imagination and creativity. Objects, puppets and their characteristics negotiations can offer a wide variety of human types, so attention is paid to play with the object and puppet etudes. Students learn to identify different kinds of puppets, prepared script, expressing dramatic acting through play with puppets, present the final shape of playing with puppets/objects.
Syllabus
  • Paly, playfulness. Metaphor. Tool - thing and observing of its signs. Picking up of the tool, what it says about its self. Speech and acting of a tool. Marionette – play with marionette. Improvization with tolls and marionette. Figure marionette and its stylization. Tool – thing and observing of its signs. Screenplay for puppet theatre. Effect of puppet theatre on the child.
