Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to develop students' speaking skills and improve students' pronunciation with focus on individual sounds as well as prosodic features.
At the end of the course students will be able to differentiate between typical English sounds and they will be aware of differences between words arising from their pronunciation in order to be able to serve as a good model for their future students. Given speech on a general topic in standard language even in a noisy environment, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the main ideas. Given a general topic, students will be able to produce a clear, detailed description/presentation that demonstrates their awareness of correct pronunciation.
