- Course objectives
- The main objective of this course is to deepen the study of individual areas of study teaching of individuals with intellectual disabilities, counseling and intervention in preschool children for special educators. After the course, students will be able to be well versed in the issue field Psychopedics and application of lessons learned in the education of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Syllabus
- GENERAL QUESTIONS: • The development of society towards persons with mental disabilities • Definition of categories of persons with mental disabilities , degree of disability • The social dimension of mental disability • The education of persons with mental disabilities in government and private • Special Educational diagnosis in individuals with mental disabilities • Treatment of special needs care (hippotherapy, occupational therapy, animal assisted therapy, art therapy, dramatoterapie, methods of basal stimulation, etc.). • Current international trends in the care of people with intellectual disabilities • The issue of lifelong education for people with intellectual disabilities SPECIALISATION HEADING: • Characteristics of persons with mental disabilities , the effect of education on the development of individuals with intellectual disabilities , their options in the area of careers from the various degrees of disability, problems of adulthood. • Down syndrome, etiology, characteristics, education and extracurricular activities, adulthood. • Autism, etiology, characteristics, educational opportunities according to individual forms. • Combination of disability, education and training of this type of disability, alternative approach. • Social care for mentally disabled people, development, forecast their future development in the social sphere . • Non-state facility, alternative care about the person with mental disabilities throughout their lives. Additional requirements for test • Process seminar work in a range of 10 pages of a selected topic from the area psychopedických general questions and a topic of specialization lines. • Process individual student's educational program with mental disabilities from special schools. • Teaching the subject Psychopedics in 2 semesters Proposal for PhD work • possibilities of education of individuals with multiple disabilities in Czech Republic • Quality of life for people with mental disabilities in the wider context • Integration and inclusion of children with mental disabilities • comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with a view mental disabilities • pre-vocational and vocational training of people with intellectual disabilities as a prerequisite for entry into the open labor market • Interventions in the education and training as part of the socialization process of individuals with moderate mental retardation • The importance of special schools in the process contemporary integrative changes.
