- Course objectives
- This course prepares students to be able to use German scholarly texts in their studies as well as future professional life; it also develops their communication abilities in both spheres mentioned. Students work with written and recorded texts on B2 level with respect to specific features of the scholarly language in terms of lexical and stylistic devices as well as grammar. The course also involves giving presentations and writing abstracts, comments, essays and formal letters.

- group work, role play, presentation, feedback, impulse writing, reading, pronounciation training
- Assessment methods
- Credit requirements: 1) Attendance (only 1 lesson can be missed), homework set in classes, active participation. 2) Oral presentation / mid-term-test 3) Exam – written + oral part. Only students who complete all assignments can take the exam. Both parts of the exam need to be passed (written part – 45/70 points, oral part – 20/ 30 points). Pass mark: 65% (65 points out of 100). Written part: listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing. Oral part: monologue (1 minute) + dialogue (6 minutes).

General note: Nutno mít absolvovaný předchozí předmět typu C. Studenti skládají závěrečnou písemnou a ústní zkoušku na úrovni B2.
