- Course objectives
- Knowledge: definition of the terms of giftedness, talent, and intelligence; models of talent, psychological nature of talent; myths of talent; the difference between a talented and clever pupil; latent talent and underachievment.
Skills: applicationof suitable methods for education of talent pupils, design a suitable program for talented pupils, diagnose manifestation of talented pupils, recognize talented and clever child.
Attitudes: to accept the differences in the behavior of the talented pupils, to acquire the values of objectivity and justice in the evaluation of talented pupils' behavior. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to:
• understand the nature of giftedness of students;
• identify giftedness through its characteristics;
• understand the principles of fundamental methods of developing giftedness;
• create training materials for the gifted students;
• use basic teaching methods for the development of gifted students;
• do basic self-reflection when working with gifted students; - Syllabus
