Cíle předmětu
The seminar aims to support students to understand and critically examine the theoretical perspecrtives and methodological approaches which underpin the process of research methods. The students will be introduced to the range of research methods in Social Sciences, primarily focusing on research in Education and understand the specific approaches and application of research to different settings and contexts. In addition, the seminar aims to support the selection and critical evaluation of relevant research along with the presentation translation and application of MBC list in order to collect, treat and interpret data on primary students. Students will advance their research and writing skills, drawing on relevant findings to impact on their professional practice and development.
Výstupy z učení
On successful completion of this Seminar students will be able to: 1.Critically analyse and evaluate research in relation to emotional , behavioural and developmental disorders in children 2. Select and critically evaluate the relevant literature along with a range of research methods in order to collect, treat and interpret data. 3. Gain advance knowledge about Psychometric properties of Assessment instruments and their application to reseach in their professional context. 4. Desing their own pilot studies using ratings on MBC, analyse the findings in relation to specific aims, objectives and criteria and indentify limitations amd practical implications on their professional contexts.
