- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge about inclusive education and provision for students with special educational needs in maistream schools. The course topics consisted of the description of the historical development of special education and disability studies, introduction to inclusive education (terminology), desription of conditions of inclusive education and provisions for students with special educational needs depending on their difficulties. The emphasis will be given to comparison of inclusive educational conditions in foreign countries compare to the Czech Republic.
- Syllabus
- Development of Special Education and Disability Studies. Introduction to terminology of inclusive education Factors influencing inclusive education – internal and external factors supporting development of inclusive school environment. Development of supportive relationship among teachers and cooperation in multidisciplinary team (shared problem solving, co-teaching method, counselling). Establishment of effective communication with parents. Classroom conditions (INCLUDE Strategy and its implementation). Supportive measures for students with special educational needs.
