- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the authentic learning environment of the school classroom and the processes within. The aim is also to provide an opportunity for students to realise a microteaching
- Learning outcomes
- Upon finishing the course the students are able to: use relevant terminology to describe and interpret classroom situations; characterise the learning envirnonment within classroom and school; describe and explain the curricular activities of teachers; exemplify various approaches to student assessment.
- Syllabus
- 1. Observation of classroom dynamics according to various criteria. 2. Teaching and learning as key classroom processes. 3. Planning - educational aims and objectives. 4. The teacher and the educational content. 5. Designing learning tasks and teaching strategies. 6. Practical activities for pupils as part of instruction. 7. Developing didactic tools and media with emphasis on textbooks. 8. Assessment of pupils, diagnostics and feedback.
