NJ2MP_1JCV Practical German 1 && NJ2MP_2JCV Practical German 2 && NJ2MP_3JCV Practical German 3 &&SOUHLAS
Presupposed are German knowledge on the level C1 of the European reference framework: "Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices."

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to solve the final language test in the last semester. A goal of the seminar is it to prepare for this examination test. The active and rezeptiven competences are to be trained and also the test format is to be learned. Linguistic, soziolinguistische and intercultural authority is promoted indirectly on the basis the worked on materials. As orientation for the final examination test format serves (for example: Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP/C1), TELC Zertifikat Deutsch C1, ÖSD-Oberstufe Deutsch/C1, ÖSD-Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch/C2, etc.
Learning outcomes
Students are able to: - understand texts (reading, listening) on the C2 level - use vocabulary and grammar within speaking and writing on the C1 level.

Teaching methods
Working with the book and additional material, presentation techniques, class discussion, homework.
Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written (reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing) and an oral part. Some of the written tasks can be completed during the semester. The written part of the exam takes about 3 hours. It is allowed to use single-language dictionaries. The oral exam will be taken in pairs. Candidates have to present a topic of their own choice within 5 minutes and ask 2 questions for discussion to their partners about their respective presentations. All four parts of the exam have to be completed successfully. Details about the system of grading are presented in the course and can be found on IS. A language certificate of level C2 can be used to complete this course without examination.
