- Course objectives
- The student is able to orientate in basic legal concepts, to understand the importance of the function of law in the modern state and to apply the necessary laws in his / her future practice.

- Syllabus
- 1. Concept of law, historical view of law development, diference between right and law. 2. Law, features of law, private and public law. 3. Sources of law, sources of law in the Czech Republic. 4. The Czech legal order. 5. Signs of the rule of law. 6. Legal relations and elements of legal relations. 7. Elements of legal action. 8. The constitutional order of the Czech Republic. 9. Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. 10. Institutions providing protection of rights in the Czech Republic
