It deepens, expands and complements the bachelor's degree subject Russian Classical Literature I. At the end of the course the students understand the periodization of Russian literary development in the 19th century; they understand the specifics of particular literary currents; they are able to include specific authors into periodization; they know writers´ style; they can briefly characterize the specifics of selected works of Russian writers; use theoretical knowledge in work with texts; they combine their knowledge of history with the development of Russian literature and its leading personalities.
