Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint with the catalog of the assessment of special educational needs and the particular diagnostic domains: for students with physical disabilities and health disabilities, visual disabilities, mental disabilities, explain the various diagnostic procedures for the particular type of disability. Expected outcomes: - The student knows special educational diagnostics on the theoretical and practical side; - Is apprise with the requirements for the assessment of special educational needs; - Is able to present and explain the diagnostic procedures for the selected type of disability.
Syllabus
  • Warp: - Diagnostic domain for pupils with physical disabilities (gross motor skills, fine motor skills, grip, graphomotorics, laterality, communication, intellectual function, cognitive function, sensory perception, attention, memory, emotions, adaptability and sociability, work skills, self-care). - Diagnostic domain for pupils with visual disabilities (visual analysis and synthesis, visual functions, compensation senses, fine and gross motor skills, visual motor coordination, cognitive function, sociability and adaptability, orientation, self-care, educational environment, rehabilitation and assistive devices). - Diagnostic domain for pupils with mental disabilities (visual perception, auditory perception, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, graphomotorics, psychomotor, laterality, cognitive function, phatic function, emotion, adaptability and sociability, will and aspirations, self-care). - Diagnostic domain for pupil with severe and multiple disabilities (gross motor, fine motor skills, self-care, orientation to the environment, autoregualtion learning, communication, cognitive processes, emotion, behavior and eligibility for social interaction)

Colloquium - student prepares a case study of a pupil with physical or visual disabilities or mental or multiple disabilities, focusing on the functional impact of disability in education (based diagnostic domains).
