- Course objectives
- The seminar enriches and systematises students´ present knowledge and competences in the field of academic research focused on connections between world religions and literature.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to explain the origin of the sacred texts and the development of literary canons in the major religions in world. They will be able to identify and analyse chosen normative and non-normative (literary) religious texts. They will be able to interpret literary works of art as well as justify and support their views using their knowledge of literary studies.

The classic arabian literature and poetry. 7. The Veda´s literature. 8. Hindu literature. 9. Buddhist literature. 10. Tibetan literature and Zen buddhism literature.

- Teaching methods
- Students will analyse normative and non-normative religious texts and thus get a broader knowledge and skills for their own literary studies. They will creatively use their knowledge gained not only in contact classes but also in their individual study of recommended literature which they will be able to discuss regularly with their teacher.

- Type of course: seminar. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars, attendance min. 80%, satisfactory seminar paper, discussion.
