Course objectives
The aim of this course is to get the students to understand, analyse and interpret a preselected fictional text, to describe this text using the basic terminology of literary analysis and to identify basic levels of literary texts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the students will be able to: - not get lost in a fictional text - describe this text using the basic terminology of literary analysis - identify basic levels of literary texts.
Syllabus
  • Levels of literary texts Fiction time, characters (constellation) Brief outline of literary theory
Teaching methods
Seminar: reading extracts for analysis and study texts, excerpting, presentation, discussion
Assessment methods
obligatory attendance and homework, presentations (excerpts), final colloquium
