- Course objectives
- Psychiatry Mental health and psychic disorders, classification of psychic disorders, psychosis, psychogenic disorders and neurosis, depressions, psychosomatic disorders, behavioural disorders, hyperactivity syndrome, disorders of mental standard, disorders of personality development and psychopathy, psychic deprivation and maltreatment of children, anti-social tendencies and deliquency, alcohol and drug addiction, suicidal behaviour.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to: - to list basic methods of mental health examination, - to know the nature, manifestations, possibilities of treatment and prevention of major diseases from the so-called "big" psychiatry, - to know the essence, manifestations, possibilities of treatment and prevention of significant diseases from the so-called "small" psychiatry, - to list the symptoms and problems associated with the use of addictive substances, - apply lifestyle modification methods to prevent mental illness.
