- Course objectives
- Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to safely orientate themselves in the issue of communication with personal disabilities. They will orientate themselves in the field of visually motor communication systems such as Czech sign language, Czech signed language and finger alphabet. They will learn the basic phrases from these communication systems, learn the two-finger finger alphabet.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course student should be able to understand following terminology: sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics aspects of communication hearing impaired people, sign language in the Deaf community, features of natural language, phonetics and phonology of sign language. On successful completion of the course student will be also able to understand issue of interpreting to sign language and will be familiar with The ethics code of sign language interpreters. Student will be informed about communication forms of deafblind people.
