- Course objectives
- The student will acquire basic knowledge about the diagnostics of impaired communication skills and methods that can be used in special pedagogical diagnostics. Within the course, the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation as well as the activity of counseling facilities in the education sector will be presented. The course includes theoretical and practical inputs in the form of analysis of case studies, processing of materials and aids that can be used in the diagnostic process
- Learning outcomes
- The student is oriented in the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation within the framework of complex diagnostics of impaired communication skills and counseling provided in school counseling facilities; knows basic procedures for diagnosing impaired communication skills; can describe the basic methods of diagnosis of impaired communication ability.
- Syllabus
- Identifying the issue of impaired communication skills. Logopedic examination model. General procedures of speech therapy. Interdisciplinary cooperation. Working with a child, a disciple of communication disability. Characteristics of the methods and procedures used in our logopedic practice. Methods and procedures used in the diagnosis of speech comprehension. Methods and procedures used in the diagnostics of speech production. Methods and procedures used to diagnose sub-folders. Create a record sheet. Case studies - Presentation of diagnostic procedures, discussion. Presentation of aids and materials - discussion.
