Course objectives
Value education is an integral part of a person’s education. Through active performance in the seminars, the students realise their own values and the values of their colleagues. Another topic is the value orientation of the adolescent generation in the world today. The seminars will enable the students to acquire various approaches to the idea of values and their possible implementation in teaching.
Learning outcomes
Each student forms his or her worldview through his or her own values or and works with them in his or her speech/performance in a free way. A discussion on the topic also takes place. After completing the course, the students will be able to work with values in the teaching context.
Syllabus
  • I. Each student forms his or her worldview through his or her own values or a value and works with them in his or her speech/performance in a free way. A discussion on the topic also takes place. II. Work in groups – the students form groups and work on an investigation into the values of a selected group of people – presentations in the seminars by agreement. Analysis of a small research will be uploaded to moodlinka. III. An output of this course is an essay focused on the topics related to values, one’s own hierarchy of values or values in the contemporary context. The essay should be five or more pages long. Another task is a review of any work that deals with a topic connected with values or the meaning of life. The reviews will be discussed in seminars.
