- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills at the Upper-Intermediate Level (level B2 according to CEFR). The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes Upper-Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials. Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice at schools via practical tasks. At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at the Upper-Intermediate Level and communicate in the language fluently.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course the students will:
- develop speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills at the Upper-Intermediate Level (B2 according to CEFR);
- be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at the Upper-Intermediate Level and communicate in the language fluently. - Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes UPPER-INTERMEDIATE, see Literature below. The syllabus includes Units 5-8, topics: Sports and Interests, Accommodation, Nature, Crime and Punishment. The focus is on speaking and listening activities and the development of students' vocabulary.
