- Course objectives
- This course is a follow-up course of the “NJ_D201” in the winter term and finishes the revision of German core grammar in the first year. It deals with some basic syntactic construction types in German. By attending grammar course 1 & 2, students get prepared for the final exam at the end of the first year.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to: - use the most common forms and structures of German in spoken and written communication, - identify problematic cases and come up with acceptable solutions (using textbooks and reference grammars).
- Syllabus
- - Deklination of adjectives,
- - Substantiated adjectives and their declination,
- - Participles as attributes and their declination,
- - Konjunktiv II and its use,
- - Konjunktiv I and its use,
- - Passive,
- - Passive with modal verbs,
- - Passive substitute forms,
- - Possibly other topics according to the needs and choice of the students.
