- Course objectives
- The aim of the practice is to verify the student's readiness to work in kindergarten. Students should be able to reflect on their pedagogical activities, but also on nursery schools' approaches to educating children.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: to plan a personalized pre-school education; to implement educational activities in accordance with constructivist approaches; to evaluate the educational project implemented; to formulate a self-reflection of own professional skills; to formulate the goals of professional development in which they need support before their employment; to organize student portfolio so that it can continueously be used as a career portfolio.
- Syllabus
- The internship takes place for three weeks in kindergartens in the students' place of residence, or in kindergartens where students work. Students visit the accompanying teacher for the first week. They observe the class as a whole and the individual children individually, get acquainted with the school environment, its equipment, etc. For the next two weeks, they are already implementing the prepared project under the supervision of the accompanying teachers. After the internship, a reflective seminar will take place at the faculty. The reflective seminar takes place as a focus group. Sharing experiences from different kindergartens can contribute to creating a real picture of pre-school education and one's own pedagogical concept of pre-school education. Students will also have the opportunity to organize their student portfolios for presentation at the state final exam.
