- Course objectives
- The student will learn the basic teaching methods related to the teaching of mathematics. The student will become familiar with didactic methods and will be able to apply them in his/her work with students. The student will learn how to use aids for natural acquisition of mathematical knowledge and for better possibility of individual approach to pupils. The student will develop a set of didactic methods which he/she will be able to describe, analyse and interpret. At the same time, he/she will deal with pedagogical didactic work with pupils who come from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - describe and explain activating methods in mathematics leading to informal learning - describe how to work with selected tools - design and produce a didactic aid for a mathematics lesson

- Didactic methods ● Practical application of didactic methods in the classroom ● Working with pupils, communication between teacher and teaching assistant from the perspective of didactics. ● Individual work of the teaching assistant with the pupil in the classroom ● Working with the pupil in active tutoring ● Use of aids in mathematics teaching
