The course of academic, specialist and specific English at CEFR B2 level. - Omezení zápisu do předmětu

- Cíle předmětu
- 1 Students will acquire the specific and specialist vocabulary presented within the topics while employing all the language skills, i.e. reading and listening comprehension, writing and speaking.
2 Students will deepen their knowledge and skills of spoken academic discussion with a single or multiple interlocutors using the platform of the social education issues.
3 Students will solidify the knowledge of conventions of formal academic writing in English and practise essay writing.
4 Students will practise the basic principles and strategies for effective processing of the English language input on the basis of academic, specialist and specific language in the domain of the receptive language skills, to ensure both global and detailed understanding.
5 Students will practise and solidify CEFR B2 level grammar with a special emphasis on reported speech, modal verbs and complex sentences.
6 Students will acquire the basics of peer-review. - Výstupy z učení
- By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- understand spoken and written texts in the field of social pedagogy on CEFR B2 level B2
- demonstrate reading comprehension through a written text;
- successfully participate in spoken interaction dealing with relevant issues at B2;
- give an oral presentation on a specialist topic;
- use selected specialist terminology in the topics covered in the course;
- show a good command of grammar structures at B2; - Osnova
- Multidisciplinary focus of social education is reflected in the topic-based orientation of the individual courses taught at the Faculty of Education. This course (D) is geared towards leadership in social education.
- Topics include Leadership, Social Psychology, Mediation, and Safekeeping and Trauma-informed Practice.

4 FINAL EXAM:
Listening & Writing (pass mark 65%)
Speaking: Dialogue with peers using a randomly selected topic (pass mark 65%).
Final grade composed of the written and spoken part:
A(100―93%), B (92―86%), C (85―79%), D(78―72%), E (71―65%) - Vyučovací jazyk
