- Course objectives
- The objective is to use the basic elements of piano improvisation, harmonization and stylization of piano accompaniment for folk and artificial songs. At the end of this course the student will be able to interpret the simple compositions suitable for children of preschool age and transpose a song to nearby keys.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- stylize the accompaniment of artificial or folk songs suitable for pre-school children;
- accompany voice exercises;
- to play a Czech national anthem with a simple accompaniment according to chord marks;
- interpret four tiny pieces of their choice and in accordance with their technical level. - Syllabus
- Cadences in major chromatic transpositions.
- Voice exercises using tonic and dominant in the piano accompaniment.
- 25 songs with the overture, parenthesis, sequel and singing.
- Harmonic functions - II. and VI. degree.
- Transpose songs to nearby keys.
- Instructive piano composition suitable for pre-school children.

- Type of teaching: exercises. Completion: examination. Practical completion - requirements: the major cadence and vocal exercises transposed by semitones. Playing 75 songs with the overture, parenthesis, sequel and singing. Transpose songs to nearby keys, secondary harmonics. Interpretation of four pieces focusing on listening and movement activities in kindergarten. Game Czech national anthem. The obligation to attend classes. 85% attendance.
