Course objectives
Student / ka chooses a primary or secondary school that is actively working with teacher assistants and during the first semester of graduate teaching 10 hours of auditions and after 30 hours of teaching assistant's own experience with specific assigned child. Students at this practice actively cooperates with an assistant teacher of the school and with teachers who use the support of an assistant. The outcome of this practice is a written record of where the listening sessions are recorded in detail by means of recording observations and followed by the reflection of these auditions. Another part of teaching practice, custom Assistant activity is recorded as a record of methodical preparation for teaching and their own critical reflection from past hours.
Learning outcomes
Curriculum: - Introduce students to future teacher assistants range of potential job opportunities - Broaden the skills of assistant teacher in school education - Introduce in various schools the specifics of teaching assistants for socially-disadvantaged pupils and others.
Syllabus
  • Students organise and implement their own practice. If they are unable to find a placement, they approach the supervisor.
