- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
- to improve the skill of the students to be able to use computers for processing data acquired during physical (and analytical) chemistry laboratory training.
- to improve the skill of the students to be able to use software useful for their diploma thesis (special functions of Excel, Word, ChemSketch, hypertexts, recording and dubbing of audio and video, preparation of short films. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to: - quickly and easily edit chemical text (chemical formulas of inorganic and organic compounds, diagrams of laboratory apparatus, mathematical formulas, tables, ...) - collect data and evaluate measurement results (connection of measuring instruments with a computer, Excel program etc.) - write and format more extensive text (large document processing, styles, lists, etc.) - have the idea of creating study materials (chemical informatics, scanning, working with pictures, hypertext, ...).
