Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to define the regions of the world and to imagine selected regional topics and concepts on which it is possible to base teaching at primary school. The subject mainly focuses on current problems, which can have an impact both in the given region and on the other hand can also be reflected in our local environment. The aim of the course is also to present the main ideas of global development learning, which is very well applicable to regional geography and supports the geographical thinking of students, as it requires insights into topics from a global, regional and local scale.
Learning outcomes
Students: ● define and spatially anchor selected regions and characterizes them; ● explain and demonstrate knowledge of laws and relationships within the selected region using examples; ● apply selected regional concepts or problems to a local scale; ● use examples from the selected region to document the positive and negative impacts of human activity; ● discuss current global issues from the selected region; ● search for relevant information, map (digital) resources, analyze and interpret them with respect to the selected case study for the purpose of their didactic transformation; ● evaluate the formulation of expected outcomes in FEP and assess the content of textbooks in relation to the selected region;

Teaching methods
Combined form of teaching: lectures and group work, individual tasks
Assessment methods
In order to receive credit, timely and high-quality processing of one's own case study for teaching any region of the students' choice is necessary. The case study lesson will be scheduled for one to two lessons. Consideration will be given to the quality of processing, professional content, and formal requirements. Credit will be awarded after a discussion of the prepared case study material.
