- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the application of a gender perspective across a wide range of fields and topics. The course will focus on analyzing the social construction of gender, its impact on societal processes, and individual identity. Students will become familiar with key theoretical approaches and methods in gender studies and will develop critical thinking and reflection skills in the area of gender issues. The course will utilize edutainment methods, and students will learn about ways to popularize science and communicate expert topics to the public through various tools such as social media, collaboration with the media, and influencers. Projects that involve collaboration between the academic and non-academic spheres will also be presented.
- Learning outcomes
- Understanding Gender Perspective: Students will be able to identify and apply a gender perspective across various fields and topics. Analysis of Social Construction of Gender: Students will be able to analyze how gender is socially constructed and how it influences societal processes and individual identity. Theoretical Knowledge: Students will become familiar with key theoretical approaches and methods in gender studies, and will be able to critically compare and apply them. Critical Thinking and Reflection: Students will develop critical thinking and reflective skills regarding gender issues, including the ability to formulate their own opinions and arguments. Communication Skills: Students will acquire skills in popularizing science and communicating expert topics to the public, including the use of social media and collaboration with the media and influencers. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Students will be introduced to examples of projects that illustrate collaboration between the academic and non-academic spheres and will be able to discuss the benefits of such collaboration.
